Silver Scissors Work Placement

Georgia Lockley came to UCOL to study hairdressing, where she gained work experience with her placement at Silver Scissors in Palmerston North.

Georgia’s placement began in August, and by November Silver Scissors had already decided to employ her as a full time hairdresser.

“I loved how my lecturer, Niki, pointed me in the direction of Silver Scissors. She matched me perfectly with this salon and I have enjoyed every bit of my time here,” says Georgia.

Georgia says her placement helped her gain a lot of hands on experience, and transition her into life with full time work.

“During these past two years, I have met and helped so many clients - and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
